Dog and pet policy
Dogs (or any other personal pets) are not permitted anywhere on the property, except for individual dogs owned by management personnel. Management dog owners shall maintain full responsibility for the behavior, control, and supervision of their dogs at all times. All such dogs must be kept on a leash while on the premises and may not pose a risk or nuisance to others.
For the safety of all riders, horses, and visitors, no dogs or other animals are permitted anywhere on the property. Guests with service animals, emotional support animals, or therapy animals, are welcome, but must remain with their animals in the designated spectator picnic/bench area on the south side of the arena (near the Osborne Street gate). This allows visitors to observe activities safely while ensuring their animals do not create risks for riders or horses.
Dogs and similar animals pose a direct threat to equine and rider safety, as horses are highly reactive to unexpected movement, scent or sound. This policy is consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (28 C.F.R. § 35.139) and California Civil Code §§ 1714 and 3342. Anyone who brings an animal onto the property in violation of this policy assumes full responsibility and liability for any resulting injury, damage, or disturbance, and may be immediately removed from the premises.
Pursuant to California Civil Code §3342, management dog owners assume full liability for any injury or damage caused by their dog, regardless of prior behavior or knowledge of any viciousness.
